I am so tired….

Been buried under piles of work, which all came flooding in all at once since last week and everyone wants their proposal TODAY…

I HATE clients from the very core of my soul… and DETEST servicing them even more… especially clients in this industry…

I wish I had access to a punching bag right now… would like to imagine I’m rearranging someone’s face…

I wish I had a million dollars so that I can afford to support myself and pay 30 cents more for a liter of gas (and everything else that’s gonna increase in price) and make a rude face to my employer and the clients and go “Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeeeehhh! I’m quitting NOW. I’m paying u back for my 2 months notice. Go solve ur problems urself! Pbbbtthhhh!”

*SMACK!* Oww… I need to get back down to the real world and stop hallucinating…

Was gonna check with CB if she was still handling the telco keyword notification. While walking to her place (3 cubes behind mine), the word ‘telco notification’ kept playing in my mind. Got to her place.

Me : “Telco!”

CB : “Telco?” *starts laughing*

Me : *blushing furiously* Oh my gawd, I’m so sorry! This is sooooo embarrassing! I meant to say ur name but I was thinking ‘telco notification’ in my head so the first word that came out was ‘telco!’

CB : *still laughing, turning really red*

Me : *still blushing furiously, any redder and I’d turn into a tomato* Dun lar… very embarrassing lar… I meant to ask “Are u still in charge of telco keyword notification?”

CB : *still laughing but manages to spit out* Yes i am… telco! hahahahaha!

I need to find a hole now and bury myself to protect my family name.

…coz the blurdy A/C at work is sooooooo cold! It’s like a blurdy freakin morgue in here! Not that I’ve been in a morgue before but I assume it would be at least as cold as it is now in my ofc. I’m wearing a jacket and I’m still soooooo cold!

That’s one thing abt buildings in KL. I dun, for the life of me, understand why the hell the A/C temperatures are set to be sooooo low that we’d need a bomber jacket just to keep warm! U’d see ppl all huddled over their desks, wrapped up in sweaters, jackets, shawls but the sun is shining oh-so-brightly outside. Oh, the irony of it all!! And when u go outside for lunch, u’d practically be roasting. It’s soooo ridiculous! We are in tropical climate, for crying out loud!!!!! Yet inside, we’re all wrapped up like mummies just to keep out the cold.

Gah… no wonder there’s global warming… just check out the no. of A/C units on each building u see.

What i am wearing : Black Padini work jacket (so blurdy cold in the ofc), white long-sleeved workshirt (can’t remember wat brand), black MNG workpants, my trusty ol’ Teva slippers (they’re off now, am barefoot at my desk), 2 rings (one on each middle finger), my Tag Heuer, crystal pendant, and my brand new FCUKs!!

Something out of the ordinary on my desk : uumm… uummm… i dun see anything extraordinary wor *craning head to left and right* My desk is messy as usual, papers covering almost the entire desk. Well, my Thermos is not on my desk, where it normally is. It’s on my side table… that one can count ah??

Current fave song : SongS can ah??? Far Away by Nickelback, Goodbye My Lover by James Blunt, Check On It by Beyonce featuring Slim Thug and Bun B from the Pink Panther soundtrack (very catchy, annoying almost… haha! I catch myself doing shoulder rolls to it when I hear it on the radio while in the car)

Last thing consumed : 2 teaspoons Nescafe Gold Blend + 3 teaspoons sugar + 3 teaspoons CoffeeMate + 3/4 cup of hot water

Last phone call received : at 10+ am from Adrienne… asking abt mobile content

Current annoyance :

1. One vendor is not answering my call to confirm a training session. I get the “Out of coverage” message. She was supposed to call me YESTERDAY.
2. One client is not answering my calls and she owes me a winners’ list plus payment of RM10K.
3. Finance is on my back re. item #2 above.
4. Stupid revenue reports for project (item #2) above does not tally with the actual transactions and I have to go thru telco by telco and verify. Give me additional work only, hmph.
5. Stupid f**king M’sian drivers (especially the ones with the modified cars with the super loud exhaust (?) i.e. the ah beng kind) who, even in heavy traffic, drive like maniacs and try to overtake every single car like their asses are on fire but then end up stuck in the queue like the rest of us. Hah, PADAN MUKA! See, how fast can u go, morons???

Plans for the day/evening :

• Original plan : head home after work, have dinner, shower, watch a couple of episodes of House, MD
• Revised plan : head over to studio to stand in as part-time receptionist for my sis, who is sick today, from 8-9pm. Still trying to decide if I should have dinner out or in. Already told mom would be home for dinner… hhhmmm…

My latest investment : RM765 on a new pair of FCUK glasses

I detest getting new glasses made coz it always costs a bomb (my astigmatism is high). But it’s high time I made one coz the lenses on my current pair were scratched like a vinyl record (correct analogy ah?).

Anyway, picked them up last nite. Oh, another thing I hate abt getting new glasses is that I usually need multiple adjustments (i.e. multiple trips to my optician) to get it to sit just right on my nose/ears). Am still getting used to them now. Will see in a few days if it’s comfortable or not.

Yes, I know… this is an ugly pic… but wat do u expect after a hard day’s work??? Definitely no Ashley Judd here… duh! *rolling eyes* The new eyes are half-framed, lime green on the inside and dark purplish-brown on the outside. Weird color combo but heck, I thought it looked rather funky when I first tried them on. And CL tells me that I dun look like a schoolteacher anymore, haha. BUT BUT this afternoon, Melvin, my cube neighbor, commented “Eh, new glasses? U look like a teacher” *WAAAAIIILLL!!!* So which is which??? Teacher or not teacher????

ANYWAY, it doesn’t matter… nothing can be done now. Already got the glasses so gotta ENJOY it for at least the next 2 yrs coz that’s how long I’m planning make it last till I make the next one.

Have u ever had one of those days where there’re sooooo many different things going on in ur mind and u can’t focus on anything???

That’s wat’s happening to me today… my brain literally feels like it’s overloaded and physically, my neck doesn’t feel strong enuf to support its weight. I dunno wat the hell I’m thinking abt but it just feels like there’re tons of things happening in it and I seem to have lost control of it… sigh…

Why do clients:

1. Think they are God
2. Always ask for things to be delivered yesterday
3. Ask for ridiculous things when they know very well that it either cannot be done OR will take a significant amount of time and $$$ to get it done… and, if they can afford it, they still want it done yesterday
4. Think that as long as they have the $$$, everything they demand for can and will be delivered yesterday
5. Have no concept of development and implementation effort, and ask stupid questions like “Hah, you mean you cannot do it within the next day ah? But I want to launch in 3 days wor.”
6. Have no concept that systems, like any other electronic device, have their share of issues and no system is ever bug-free, and persist to jump sky-high and yell at the top of their voices whenever there is the slightest problem with the system
7. Treat vendors like lil’ tiny ants that they can bully and twist till all their limbs fall off
