…that I’ve been ranting all this while about not having been to Qba before for their salsa nites and when I finally finally get a chance to go there for the very first time, it wasn’t for anything salsa-related but instead, it was a press conference for this guy.
But…
…the dancefloor is really really quite small!

Slowly, signs of their existence in my life are being obliterated.
No point moping over something I’ve no control of.
Time to move on…

*check… check…. check*
I’m not particularly fond of making To-Do lists but at work, I make myself do it or else I’d never remember all my tasks and get them done.
So this week, The Boss was in Singapore from Tue-Fri, thus dumping me in the deep end of the pool and forcing me to struggle my way to the surface to breathe (ok lar, wrong analogy, I CAN swim :p but u know wat I mean) with a FIVE-PAGE To-Do list.
Today, the last day of the work week, I’m glad to say that I’d managed to complete almost all my tasks (save for a few). Methinks that’s not too bad for a newbie on her 2nd week at work, hehe. I just love checking off my tasks one by one with a red pen. Very satisfying to see all the red checks on my 5-page To-Do list.

Woo hoooo!!! Argentina’s back, man!!!
I managed to catch a replay of their game against Serbia & Montenegro and it was awesome! It’s also the first match that I sat down and watched the full 90+ minutes of it, hehe.
The Argentinian team didn’t look good in the last World Cup but this time around, with new jerseys and all, they’re rockin’! I recognize some of the players who’d were in the youth team when they were here for the FIFA World Youth Cup back in 1997 — Juan Riquelme, Esteban Cambiasso, Pablo Aimar, Leonardo Franco — and I’d even taken some pics of them! And met them at the airport, hehe… And it’s cool to see them back in action again for their country.
U know who I’ll be rooting for to win this World Cup! ;o)

GAH!!! Only the King and the PM should be entitled to use police escorts and not every Tom, Dick, and Harry so-called Grandpas who think that just coz they’ve got the clout and cash, they’re entitled to hold up traffic just coz they need to go somewhere.
Imagine, there’s already a traffic jam. Then comes this police outrider (is that wat they’re called?), who u think is there to direct the traffic, but wat he does is he STOPS the traffic flow in all directions and the next thing u hear are sirens and MORE police escorts, escorting a single Proton Perdana, to gawd-knows-where.
Geez! All of us are in a hurry and all of us need to be somewhere. It wouldn’t hurt to show some consideration. Sheeesshh…

I cannot stand limp handshakes. Especially if it’s from a male.
It doesn’t matter how macho or good-looking they are. The moment we shake hands and his handshake is as limp as a dead fish, it’s an instant turn-off, man.
Yucks!

Oh maaaannnn! Since starting my new job, it now takes me, on average, about 1.25 hrs to get to work! GAH! Talk about a waste of time, man!
The roads are like, jammed up the entire way from Subang to KL! In the mornings, I leave my place, got on the NKVE, pay toll and get stuck at the Damansara exit. Then I get stuck on Sprint around Secion 16. Then I get stuck along Jalan Semantan. Then I get stuck on Jalan Tun Razak. And after work, it’s jammed from the entrance of my office, along Jalan Tun Razak, ALL the freaking way to the NKVE (via Jln Semantan/Damansara, pass Sprint)!!! WTF, man!!!!!!!
And yesterday, OMG!! I was supposed to be at MATIC (on Jalan Ampang, near Zouk) for a rehearsal for Rev’s arangetram. It took me, get this, ONE AND A HALF HOURS to get from my office near the National Library to MATIC (near Zouk), which is wat, all of 5 kilometers???!!! At one point, I was in front of Empire Tower (next to City Square). THIRTY minutes later, I’d only managed to inch my way to the traffic lights in front of Yow Chuan Plaza (it’s has another name now, which I can’t remember), which is less than 500 meters from where I was!! The KL traffic jam is just so so sooooo absurd!!!
AAARRGGGGHH!!! Am seriously considering if I should change jobs to a location in PJ/Subang just to cut down on the traffic jams that I need to go thru every single weekday. Seriously!
*Update* On Friday, I made the same journey, via Jln Yap Kwan Seng. It took me 6 minutes to get from my office to MATIC. Clear roads all the way.
