What Kind of Boss…
What kind of boss, upon hearing that her staff are practically suffocating from noxious glue fumes due to renovation works, tells her staff to email the property admin people because she “isn’t THERE (i.e. on the same floor) to smell the fumes”?
What kind of boss, upon exiting the elevator on the said floor where the renovation works are taking place, takes a whiff of the paint fumes and flees back down to the safety of her own room and even utters “I don’t know how you all can tahan the smell. I cannot tahan!”
And does NOTHING to try to temporarily relocate her staff to a less hazardous work area until the renovation works are completed?
Which resulted in one staff having to be given emergency oxygen due to constricted airways from breathing in the glue fumes (and is now forced to take steroid pills to expand her airways) and another having severe headaches from the same. The doctor has even ordered the said staff who encountered breathing difficulties to NOT enter the office in the next few days lest her breathing problems recur.
Yep, that’s the type of boss that I have.
Welcome to the world where the boss couldn’t care less about his/her staff’s well-being and deserts his/her employees when it suits him/her.

Always a pessimistic idealist… the perfectionist… animal lover… dance enthusiast… and snob to people who don’t know me. Coz I’ve got the “proud peacock look”, according to a friend. Ah well… always takes one to know one, no? 
hmm.. can they sue for that? employer negligence or something..
i’m sure we can, if they go on like this. the doc said we could.
today, it was paint fumes.
