Sea of Yellow
Today, while getting stuck in a traffic jam (in heavy rain) along Jln Parlimen, I noticed a sea of people dressed in yellow and that was how I found out about the Bersih peace march to deliver a memorandum to the King, calling for electoral reforms.
I am very ashamed of myself for being so self-absorbed in my own world lately that I had failed to keep up with the latest news and events and thus, failed to join my fellow Malaysians in today’s rally, calling for clean and fair elections.
While driving past Bank Negara, I caught a glimpse of this huge sea of yellow… fellow Malaysians who braved the very heavy rain to walk all the way from Dataran Merdeka to Istana Negara to deliver the memo. And I salute and thank all of them for taking that step to changing the way things work in this country.
Please read the alternative news sites to get more accurate info on this event, as we all know that the mainstream newspapers will only depict sensationalized reports on how the marchers got “rowdy” and the cops “had to” do “something” to control the crowd.

I was wondering aloud in the car, while stuck in the same traffic:
Me : Hmm… I wonder if they had done, what do you call it? What’s the term, that thing that they do to make it rain?
Him : Cloud seeding? *thinking* Yah hor, could be. Maybe they did a test run the day before. (Note: it had also rained heavily the day before)
Me : Hah? You serious ar? I just plucked that out from the air leh.
Him : See, this rain is just pure heavy rain. No thunder and lightning, like normal rain.
Me : Really ar? *thinking* Hmm… it’s been quite sunny lately, except for the past day or two. Hmmm…
Hah, well, too bad for them. A little bit of rain did not stop the rakyat from doing what they started out to do.
Helloooo,
Just wanna say glad that the rally actually made an impact on people.
Yup, it certainly did! Was up till the wee hours of the morning, reading the various reports of the rally. I’m really glad that it was successful
Will make sure I keep up-to-date on these events from now on.
