Anticipated Serendipity

April9

I haven’t had much inspiration to write lately. Dunno if it’s due to work or just plain laziness.

Anyway, thought it was time to reflect on the first quarter of the year.

Work is going ok. Expectations are high but I guess that’s the norm where I am. Coping with the work, hours are not too bad (yet!). My team members are cool. Had a memorable annual dinner where the newbies were made to perform. Needless to say, my team rocked :) but we lost Best Performance to a bunch of women doing the belly dance (and they weren’t even THAT skimpily dressed!) Shows how ‘great’ a taste the judges have. Just put a bunch of women prancing around on stage, showing some skin, and they’ll be a hit.

Healthwise, have been a bit sickly. Have been falling sick almost every month, so much so that my doc has all but banned me from going in to the clinic to see her! Still not feeling my usual self, need to get myself checked out soon.

Dance-wise, there’ll be a major event this May/June. The International Odissi Festival, Stirring Odissi, will be held in KL for the first time. There’ll be international dancers/instructors/choreographers from all over who will be flying in for this event. Hopefully I’ll have some time to catch some of the performances and workshops.

All in all, quite an eventful Q1 but I still have not achieved what I set out to achieve.

Hhhhmm…
