I saw my heart!

Recently, I had an echocardiogram done to check what was causing my ectopic heartbeats.

So I was lying there on my side, while the technician was “scanning” my chest and I could see the reflection of the monitor screen on the wall (there was some white plastic cover across the wall, not sure what was the exact function of it but I could see the screen quite clearly).

And I could see my heart working! Gosh, it’s quite amazing! I could see it beating (while feeling it at the same time), and I could see when the ectopic beats occured. I guess that’s the similar feeling that parents-to-be feel when they see an ultrasound of their kid in the mom’s womb.

Anyway, my heart is structurally fine (i.e. mechanically, it is sound). It’s just that it’s electrical wiring may be a bit off, which is what’s causing the ectopic beats. Unfortunately, the cardiologist can’t determine WHAT is the cause of it, could be one of those things that just happens.

Since it’s not incapacitating me when it occurs (about a few times throughout the day), I just have to live with it and monitor it. It feels uncomfortable when it comes on, but it doesn’t stop me from doing what I’m doing.

Sigh… I guess it’s just one of those things.

But it was soooooo cool watching my heart work!!! :D

Shoes… argh!

This is what I bought recently. 
9West : Black and Gold
I’d sworn off buying Nine West shoes a few years back but I was looking for closed-toe shoes for work and haven’t been having any luck. My fave black pair that I’ve been wearing since Dec ’07 has served me faithfully but all the walking has taken a toll on the right heel and it’s ready to detach itself one of these days :(

So we were at Isetan @ The Gardens on Friday night, to get a pair of pantyhose and we walked past these shoes that were on sale. Actually, HE noticed it. I was just focused on getting my pantyhose and naturally, missed it completely.

Well, I ended up with 2 pairs. They cost a bit more than what I’d normally pay for a pair of shoes but they were 60% off and they ARE Nine West! :)

At least now I dun have to go to San Lee to get a pair of shoes custom-made, which would’ve come up to around the same price, I estimate.

I like my shoes! :D

Doomed :-(

Oh no, the country is doomed.

I think I should start looking at other alternatives to call home.

Outwardly, I can’t fathom why our ex-premier is so bent on getting the current premier out and his “chosen” deputy to take over. I think that will be the mother of all evils.

But of course, deep down we all know why.

Some ppl should just learn when not to open their mouths when the nation is inheriting all the dirt that was generated and accumulated during their reign.

Gggggggrrrrrr!!!!!

First, it was the 41% fuel price hike.

As if the day couldn’t get worse, I had to go and hit my car against someone’s butt. And it was MY stupid freaking fault!! Thank gawd the guy’s car was merely scratched and he was nice enough to let it go so I didn’t have to compensate him.

But my car needs to be fixed.
