Anticipated Serendipity

Stop it already!!

March31

Haha! The PM trying to do damage control.

Yeah right… who is dumb enough to believe this crap?

~~~~~
Aaaarrrggghhh!!!!
I am so sick of the  ”Malay rights this, Malay rights that” topic! It’s all I read about in the news!
Can we just stop it with the race thing and live as Malaysians once and for all??? To think that after all this time, we have not learnt from past mistakes and our thinking has not progressed past the “I am of X race therefore I am entitled to my rights and privileges, and NO ONE can question it” is just plain sad and pathetic. I now understand why some friends willingly choose to migrate to other countries and live as 2nd class citizens there. I feel like a 2nd (or 3rd) class citizen in my own country where I contribute my share of taxes and to the growth of the country.
We can just forget about achieving anything of significance as a country if we can’t even resolve this race thing and live and act as MALAYSIANS.
Our line of so-called leaders needs some serious overhauling or someone to smack their heads together to knock some sense into them. Most importantly, they need to wear the MALAYSIA hat (i.e. think for the good of the people and country, and not about themselves or their own race or their own agenda). But then again, I doubt if any of these people have that level of maturity in their thinking at all.
This pathetic excuse of a DPM is a classic example of the shallowness of their level of thinking. It is so infuriating that sometimes I feel like crying in despair.
How laaaaaaa like this??!!!!! :(
Malaysian/Asian men suck!
March30
Not all of them, but a lot of them.
I got home yesterday. Had my big Ikea bag with stuff and my computer backpack on me, went to check my mail in the letterbox and was opening the entrance door to the elevators.
At the same time, 3 men came out of the elevator and headed in my direction (they were going out while I wanted to get in). Three men – one Malaysian Chinese (I think, but definitely Asian) and 2 mat sallehs.
So I opened the door and before I could go thru, this pathetic excuse of the male species (the Msian one) strides thru the door without even a glance of acknowledgement at me! His mat salleh friend #1 had a bit of courtesy to look apologetic and he muttered “Sorry” while he too walked thru the door before me while mat salleh #2 was the only gentlemen among them who actually stopped and let me go thru first.
On several occasions, I have heard/read of accusations that Msian/Asian women prefer Caucasian men because they (the women) don’t think that Msian/Asian men are good enough for them. Well, yesterday’s experience was just one of many ungentlemanly episodes that I have experienced and you know what, all I can say to the men is, it is true! And men, don’t whine about or blame Msian/Asian women for preferring Caucasian men because you can’t/won’t/have no clue how to be gentlemen!
After having doors literally slam in my face (of course, the dude in front of me doesn’t think of holding the door open for people behind him), all I can think of to say to the man above is “Moron @$$hole, you think a ghost opened the door for you issit?”
Snoring monster
March29
I recorded the husband’s snoring this past weekend.
When I played it back to him, he said “Oh no, so loud! I sound like a monster!”
I recommend women to do this. It may not help solve the problem, but at least the men are aware how loud they sound.
Hehe.
The case for neutering/spaying pets
March26
I would really like to know how to effectively present the case for neutering/spaying your pet to prevent overpopulation of homeless animals to someone who has a pre-conceived notion that neutering/spaying is tampering with the nature of the animal and should not be condoned.
How?
Monsters
March25
I agree. Damn people got no heart nor soul.
Observations
March23
1. For some weird reason, about 80% of the time when I go to the washroom or leave my desk for whatever reason (and I leave my phone behind), someone will call me and I’ll have a missed call when I get back and check my phone.
2. There are a lot of Malaysian men who have big bellies. Was observing this during my holiday at Tanjong Jara as well as at my workplace.
3. The female partners (at least those who are seen hanging on their arms) of the men in item 2 above are more often than not, quite slim and not bad looking, some quite hot even. So why is it that not-so-attractive men can attractive attractive women but not so commonly vice versa? Hmm. Is it a security issue i.e. good-looking women feel more secure with not-so-good-looking men because they are less likely to stray? (I do not agree that not-so-good-looking men are less likely to stray. I believe they are just as likely to stray.)
4. It seems very easy for my stomach to expand. Was stuffing myself silly with food at Tanjong Jara, now I feel that I get hungry very easily :(   This is not good.
New generation
March23
I thank my HK guests for reminding me that we are the new generation and we live our lives for ourselves, not for society nor even our familial expectations.
Of course, the basic tenets of family still hold but we’re not bound in totality by it anymore these days.
Phew.
And I am so grateful to them for not highlighting/pestering me why I don’t eat meat or asking me the ever dreaded “When are you having kids” question.
I like my HK guests :D
Can we do the same to them?
March18
I wish I could do the same thing that these monsters did to this poor defenceless dog, to them. I’m sure they would enjoy it.
Eat dogs to keep stray population in check?
March18
Just when you think that govt officials have reached an all-time high in their level of stupidity, here’s comes another one, taken off the March SPCA newsletter :
PETALING JAYA (March 7, 2010): People with a penchant for exotic meat should be allowed to buy dogs from dog pounds for consumption, Veterinary Services Department (VSD) deputy director general Dr Ahmad Suhaimi Omar says.
Ahmad Suhaimi, who made the suggestion at a forum on effective animal pound management organised by the Petaling Jaya City Council’s Canine Advisory Team last week, said people who have no qualms about eating dog meat should be allowed to eat dogs kept in pounds.
“Do we have to keep the dogs at the pounds forever?” he asked. “They are animals, just like chickens or goats,” he added. He said consuming dogs kept in pounds will help to check the number of strays at the pounds and help address any unmanageable increase of strays.
*shakes head in disbelief*
Not now
March16
It’s not like I totally abhor children but I can’t deal with having one at the moment.
This is what I replied to a friend who said “Why not have babies? I know I would be happy to have one now.” (This came from a guy 3 years my junior, mind you).
Why not babies? Coz :
1. Babies are expensive.
2. Babies are too much work.
3. Babies cramp my lifestyle.
4. Babies just suck the energy out of you.
5. Babies are noisy and need to be fed every few hours and crap shortly after, resulting in the need for multiple diaper changes throughout the day.
Recently met up with a couple of friends who have children of their own and listening to their problems with breastfeeding and all that is enough to turn me off having my own.
I seriously salute working mothers who have the energy to go to work and come home to take care of their kids. Not to mention the discipline to eat well to supplement their milk production and to express their milk at work.
People say motherhood is the pinnacle of a woman’s life (is it?) but I am not getting it.
Sounds like more trouble than it’s worth. Doesn’t help when society implies that it is a woman’s DUTY to bear babies. How come society doesn’t say that it is men’s DUTY to remain faithful to their partners and not be led by what’s in their pants?
