Grateful for what?

Pray, tell me, WHY in the world should I be grateful that I have Malaysian citizenship? I am ENTITLED to my citizenship! My parents were born here, I was born here, I’ve lived here all my life, I’m working here and paying my taxes here. This is where I call home. And they dare tell me that I should be GRATEFUL???!!!!
I shall stop talking now before I say something really nasty.
And they should stop bringing up this stupid ‘be grateful’ thing because all it does is make people angry and work harder to get rid of them. Which is the only positive thing resulting from saying stupid things like this.
