Anticipated Serendipity

Swirl-a-whirl

Mixed up.

Not a good thing.

Mindless entertainment :-)

September1

I’ve been keeping up with Eonline of late.

Gives me a few minutes of mindless entertainment and celebrity gossip each day :)

Actually, it started after MJ’s passing, where I logged on to check on the latest news of his death and investigations.

But now, it serves as my daily dose of celebrity news.

Some not-so-useful things that I’ve discovered :

  • Josh Duhamel (Fergie’s hub) is quite hot :P
  • Gerri Halliwell‘s got some abs!
  • Kevin Federline‘s gotten humongous! And he used to be a dancer?! :-O
  • Imaging how gorgeous Gisele‘s kids are gonna look! :P
  • Danica McKellar aka Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years (oh no, I’m THAT old!) is a mathematician!
  • Dakota Fanning‘s in Eclipse?! I remember her as a wee kid in I Am Sam
  • Adriana Lima‘s a virgin?! I still think she’s the hottest model around :)
  • Tom Cruise is either really short or Katie Holmes is damn tall!

Haha… I said they were mindless entertainment :P

Will You Be There

August16

One of my favorite MJ songs… I especially like the spoken part at the end (I normally think spoken dialogue in songs are just too cheesy but this one is different, for some reason).

In Our Darkest Hour
In My Deepest Despair
Will You Still Care?
Will You Be There?
In My Trials
And My Tribulations
Through Our Doubts
And Frustrations
In My Violence
In My Turbulence
Through My Fear
And My Confessions
In My Anguish And My Pain
Through My Joy And My Sorrow
In The Promise Of Another Tomorrow
I’ll Never Let You Part
For You’re Always In My Heart.

Of Belches and Farts

July28

I think snoring or expelling gas while asleep is not a big deal because you’re asleep and not fully aware (or not aware at all) of what’s happening, thus unable to fully control these actions.

It’s the indiscriminate belching and farting while consciously awake that I find disconcerting because they are bodily functions that, although necessary, need not be announced to anyone and everyone within your vicinity.

It is such a turn-off, not to mention unrefined and rude, when one of your dinner mates lets out a humongous belch or when you’re enjoying a nice cup of coffee, you hear someone from the next table let’s out a long smelly fart.

Although I understand that in certain cultures, belching publicly is a sign that you enjoy the food that your host has served.

But I would prefer that we all keep our burps and farts to ourselves.

Gone Too Soon

July1

Like A Comet
Blazing ‘Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too SoonLike A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon

Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon

Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon

Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon

Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon

Are people becoming insane??

June5

What is wrong with people these days?

They even attack the elderly! Do we have no sense of right or wrong anymore?
No more compassion?? What is happening to society??!!!

Such barbarians. Actually, I don’t know if I should even call them barbarians.
It might be an insult to barbarians.

Today was the first time I watched this season’s American Idol, TWICE! Just in time to catch the winner ;)

~~~~~
I just realized that the line in Britney Spears’ song “If You Seek Amy”, is actually “F-u-c-k me” :-O… as in :
The sanitized version
Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy
The actual thing
Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to f-u-c-k- me
Haha! I think I’m a bit slow coz I’ve been hearing this song on the radio for some time now, and I just realized this, lol! I guess it’s a whole different perspective when you see it in writing as opposed to hearing it :P
Plain blur-ness or something more?
May18
I can’t be that blur for the similar incident to happen more than once, right?
*shakes head*
I know what I heard, clear as crystal, in each incident.
I may be blur at times but I am not that blur.
Patches, age 13
May13
 This is Patches. We call her Patchy.
Patchy : “Pbbbttthhh”
She has been with us since I was 17. She adopted us one fine morning. I was sleeping when I heard a commotion in the garden but I didn’t bother to wake up to find out what was happening.Later, I was told that a kitten had come into our  garden while my mom was hanging out the laundry and the kitten kept trying to rub against my mom’s legs, and my mom was trying her best not to let the kitten get near her. Haha, I can imagine my mom hopping around the garden, with this tiny kitten refusing to let her go :P
What happened after that was a blur. All I remember is that the kitten, now named Patches, just installed herself in our home and became part of my family.
Well, that was almost 13 years ago. Patchy is a grouchy, old woman now. But she seems to be doing ok healthwise (touch wood), except for some arthritic joints. Being obese doesn’t help but really, she doesn’t eat that much these days. Add in the fact that she’s got 4 molars removed.
I cannot imagine the day when she goes over to Rainbow Bridge. We are all so attached to her. She sleeps with my parents on their bed, sometimes right next to their pillows. They can hear her purring the whole night long.
Sometimes, she sleeps with me too. During the night, when I’m sleeping on my side, I can feel her warm body pressing against my back. It’s quite comforting.
She hasn’t been too fond of me after I brought back my other 2 cats from the States, who dethroned her from her Queen status, hehe. But it’s ok. She’ll forever be SuperKat to me :)
Separate Your Trash?
May12
Hmm… you know what I think some Malaysians might do when this is implemented?
Home owner to garbage collector, “Eh, I bagi lu dua puluh ringgit satu bulan, lu ambik semua sampah I la. Tak ada masa mau asingkan la.”
ok ok… I know I should give people time to be aware and be educated. But heck, when I was in the US 10 years ago, it was already normal practice to separate our recyclebles, including rinsing out our bottles before putting them out to be collected. At large supermarkets, there were machines that you feed your soda bottles and cans into and you get paid a few cents for each bottle/can, which you can redeem at your next purchase.
I can just imagine some Malaysians complaining :
“What?! We have to do what?! Separate our garbage?! What the hell do we pay the garbage collectors for?!”
“Aiyah, no time la… anyway, nobody’s going to do it.”
“This is stupid. I’ll just pay the garbage collectors a bit of money to take all my garbage. I have no time for this nonsense.”
Let’s wait and see the public reaction to this.
Note : To-date, I am still rinsing my bottles and plastics before putting them in the recycling bin. It’s part of my daily routine, separating my thrash and recycling, that is.
